If you like beautiful, scenic areas, with peace and quiet all around you as you drive along the countryside, try to visit Ambleside, Lake District. Snow-capped mountains scatter the area, while giant lakes stretch for miles and miles, this is Lake District.

Since there are many nice places to visit in Lake District, you should plan your trip well, and visit one place at a time and take in the wonders of the area. Be careful when going over the steep hills, since it is very lonely, there is no internet, and it very hard to get help in an emergency.

A few must-see landmarks are :

• Mt. Helvellyn, which is 950m tall

• Ullswater Lake

• Windermere Lake
